Due to rumours, Taapsee doesn't get good films: She said- People in the industry think that I only want to do lead roles.

These days, Taapsee Pannu is enjoying the success of the film Dunky, in which she has worked opposite Shahrukh Khan. During a recent interview, Taapsee said that even after signing the film, she could not believe that she was a part of this film.

She also said that the rumor in the industry is that she only does films in which she is in the lead role. Due to this many projects get lost from their hands. Because of these rumours, big directors hesitate in approaching him for good side roles.

After watching many of my films, Raju sir had offered me Dunki – Taapsee
In an interview given to Bollywood Hungama, Taapsee said- Not everyone is like Rajkumar Hirani sir. They don't need any comfort zone. He suddenly messaged me to see my work in the film Manmarziyaan. He offered Dinky only after watching many of my films. This was a beautiful truth. That's why I didn't believe it until the shooting of the first schedule of the film was over.

Taapsee said- People did not believe that I was a part of this film.
People at home used to ask me – 'You are in the picture, right?' Didn't he expel you?

In fact, a year and a half before the film went on the floors, people were telling me that Raju sir might be considering some other actors as well. However, there was nothing like this from Raju sir's side. He was confident about me. Because of this it was difficult to accept that I was doing this film.

Don't get work in good projects due to wrong rumor
He also talked about what perception people have about Taapsee in the film industry. He said- This is a big misunderstanding which I am tired of clearing. It is often said that if my character is not at the center stage in a film, I do not do films. I don't know who is spreading all these things against me.

Taapsee further said- I think this could also be a reason why many big films do not come to me because it is assumed that I will not do them. I am not even part of that group where my name will be taken immediately.

Dunky earned Rs 447.70 crore worldwide
The film Donkey was released in theaters on 21 December. Artists like Shahrukh Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Taapsee Pannu, Boman Irani were seen in the film. The film has so far collected Rs 447.70 crore worldwide.
