Elvish Yadav has revealed that he once received an extortion call of Rs 1 crore. He also received death threats for refusing to pay the money.

In Bharti Singh's podcast, Elvish told that he was in London when he got the recovery call. Elvish consulted some of his friends and one of them told him to ignore the call. While the other friend sent a long voice note to the person demanding recovery, in which wrong words were also used.

Extortion was demanded to buy a car

As the conversation progressed, Culprit asked an acquaintance of Elvish's for his father's number. Then he said to Elvish – I have a discount for you. He reduced the extortion demand from Rs 1 crore to Rs 40-50 lakh. He also told that he was asking for money because he wanted to buy a Ford Endeavor car.

Soon after, upon returning to India, Elvish lodged a police complaint against the man as the criminal had threatened to kill him if the ransom was not paid.

Arrested 6 hours after filing the complaint, the accused was an RTO agent

The police caught the man six hours after filing the complaint. 25 year old accused Sakir Makrani was caught by the police in October 2023. He was an RTO agent, who had extracted the number of Elvish from the car's registration form. Then Bharti asked Elvish – Have you met that person? In response, Elvish said- I was asked to meet that person, but I did not meet him.
