Urmila Srivastava, the vocal nightingale who preserved Mirzapur's folk song Mirzapur Kajali for almost 55 years and took it to foreign countries, has been selected for the Padmashree Award. People are congratulating Urmila after the name was announced. Municipal Council Chairman Shyam Sundar Keshari on Sunday honored folk singer Urmila Srivastava, who was declared for Padma Shri, by giving her a bodysuit and a flower bunch at the camp office located at South Gate.
