Shahid Kapoor revealed: Said- 'Chocolate Boy' tag was very bad, looking good is not everything

Shahid Kapoor will soon be seen in the film 'Teri Baton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya'. In an interview during the promotion of the film, Shahid Kapoor, remembering his debut film, said that he never liked the tag of 'Chocolate Boy'. Being creative is very important for an actor.

Shahid Kapoor called failure important
Shahid Kapoor has been in the film industry for almost 20 years. He believes that it is very important for an actor to experiment with his characters. Same roles should not be repeated on screen again and again. One should always be engaged in trying something new. During an interview, Shahid said- I don't like to do the same thing again and again. Although I know many actors have been successful by playing similar roles. To be honest, their success strategy or whether a film becomes a commercial hit often depends on this. But I am not like that. I am creative at heart.

I can't do the same role again and again to be safe. I want to do something new and challenging every time. I know this is difficult. I believe that it is not wrong to fail while trying something new, because you learn a lot from that failure.

Shahid started his film journey with the film 'Ishq Vishk' released in 2003.
Talking about the present times, Shahid Kapoor said – In today's time, people are thinking very short term, everyone has a plan for two-three years. But growth happens only when you do things that you have never done before.

Recalling the response he got to his first film 'Ishq Vishk', Shahid said that he was called 'chocolate boy'. Actually Shahid did not like this tag at all. He found this tag limiting because Shahid wanted to become an artist. Not someone who just looks good.

Shahid Kapoor married Mira Rajput in the year 2015.

Shahid said- When I did 'Ishq Vishk', the word that was associated with me was 'chocolate boy'. I felt very bad, I thought what does this mean? What is a chocolate boy? I am an artist. I want to express. I don't just want to look good. Looking good, wearing good clothes is just a layer on top. The process of acting has to go deep. So that's what I started doing. I changed myself completely. I didn't want to be clean shaven and do the same thing again and again.

He further said- My father told me that son, the day you start acting, there will be blood in the lion's mouth. You will get the most happiness from that. The same thing happened to me somewhere in the middle of my career. So now this is what I want, it is a different thing that I am a vegetarian in real life.

Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon will be seen together for the first time in the film 'Teri Baton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya'. Shahid will be seen in the role of a scientist in this film. Kriti will play the role of a robot. This film full of romance and comedy will be released in theaters across the country on 9th February next month. Veteran actors Dharmendra and Dimple Kapadia will be seen together once again after almost 31 years in this film.
