Aamir Khan's second ex-wife Kiran Rao is going to make a comeback as a director after 13 years with the comedy-drama film 'Laapta Ladies'. Actors like Nitanshi Goyal, Pratibha Ranta and Sparsh Srivastava will be seen in lead roles in this film, which will be released in theaters on March 1. Famous Bhojpuri actor Ravi Kishan has played an important role of a police officer in it.

In a recent interview, Kiran told that initially Aamir wanted to play the role of a police officer in the film. Kiran had also taken his audition for this but later Kiran felt that Ravi looked better in this role and she cast Ravi.

Aamir's opinion changed after watching Ravi Kishan's audition tape
In an interview given to 'The Week', when Kiran was asked whether Aamir would make a special appearance in this film, Kiran said, 'Aamir and I had discussed this character for a long time. I wanted Aamir to play the character of Manohar. Aamir had also auditioned for this role which was amazing but when I showed him Ravi Kishan's audition tape for the same role, Aamir himself said that this role suits Kishan more.

Aamir himself said – Ravi is better in this role
Kiran further said, 'I think Kishan is a complete surprise in this character. Whereas Aamir has his own unique way of playing every character. However, Aamir later felt that he would not be able to do justice to this character. He himself told me that Ravi would play this character better.

Aamir supported fresh casting idea
On the choice of casting a fresh lead in the film, Kiran said, 'I am very lucky that Aamir always supported my idea. He also felt that since the story of the film is new, its casting should also be fresh.

This film has been produced by Aamir who has previously produced low budget hit films like 'Peepli Live', 'Delhi Belly' and 'Taare Zameen Par'.
