The Uttar Pradesh Private Universities (Amendment) Bill 2024 was approved during the Legislative Session on Thursday. After the approval of this bill, the government's control over private sector universities will also increase. However, members of Congress and SP have put forward an amendment motion against this amendment proposal and have demanded that it be referred to the Select Committee. Despite this, the bill has been passed with majority.
