Pramod Krishnam had contested the Lok Sabha elections from Sambhal and Lucknow on Congress ticket in 2014 and 2019, but lost.

Congress has expelled Acharya Pramod Krishnam, a senior leader of the party in Uttar Pradesh and Peetadhishwar of Kalki Dham, for 6 years. Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal issued a statement on Saturday (February 10) giving this information.

Venugopal said that Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has approved the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee's proposal to expel Pramod Krishnam with immediate effect over complaints of indiscipline and repeated statements against the party.

Recently, Pramod Krishnam had praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP for the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya. He also went to Ayodhya on 22 January. He had criticized Congress for not participating in this program.

Met PM Modi on 2 February
Acharya Pramod Krishnam had also met Prime Minister Modi on 2 February. He had invited PM Modi to attend the foundation stone laying program of Kalki Dham on 19 February. Pramod Krishnam had shared his photo with Modi on social media platform X.

After this, he met CM Yogi on 6th February and invited him also to visit Kalki Dham. Pramod said- Lord Ram belongs to everyone, I belong to Lord Ram. I am inviting everyone to come to Kalki Dham. I have also extended this invitation to Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi, now it is their choice whether they come or not.

Who is Acharya Pramod Krishnam?
Acharya Pramod Krishnam was born on 4 January 1965 in village Enchoda Kamboh of Sambhal. He belongs to Brahmin family. Pramod Krishnam is counted among the big leaders of Congress in UP. He has also contested elections twice on Congress ticket.

He contested elections from Sambhal in 2014 and Lucknow in 2019. However, they lost both times. It is said that Pramod Krishnam was at the forefront in Congress in support of the construction of Ram temple. More than politics, Pramod Krishnam is discussed about Shri Kalki Dham in Sambhal, UP, which he has built in his village.

Pramod Krishnam had reached Ayodhya on January 22 to participate in the Pran Pratistha event.

Pramod Krishnam accused of land grab for construction of Kalki Dham
On February 10 itself, Congress leader and advocate Amit Uthwal had accused Pramod Krishnam of occupying government land in the name of construction of Kalki Dham. Amit Uthwal said that he has sent evidence against Pramod Krishnam through email and registered post to Prime Minister Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and Chief Minister Yogi to Commissioner-DM.

Amit Uthwal claimed that Pramod Krishnam has been adopting various tactics to capture land in the name of Kalki Dham for the last 40 years. Once he had made a fake entry in the name of the school on this land. Even at present, an attempt has been made to capture this land by building a Havan Kund. ​​​​
