Padmashree Raj Bisaria, the identity of Lucknow in the world of theatre, has passed away. 88-year-old Raj Bisaria was known as 'Raj Saab' in the world of theater and acting. Raj Bisaria has been the founding director of the institution Bharatendu Natya Academy. His health was bad for a long time. He also had angioplasty surgery at Medanta Hospital three years ago. Raj Bisaria was born on 10 November 1935 in Lakhimpur Kheri.

He is the first person in the world of theater to receive Padma Shri from UP.
