Kanpur Municipal Corporation sealed Triveni Market at 7.30 am for non-payment of house tax dues. Municipal corporation officials arrived in the morning and sealed all 67 shops. When traders arrived to open their shops in the morning, they were shocked to see seals in the shops. Traders started protesting.

The entire market is 4 storeyed, business leader Kamal Uttam said.
