Vidya Balan lodged FIR against unknown person: Fake ID was made in the name of the actress, he used to ask for money by promising a job

Bollywood actress Vidya Balan lodged an FIR against an unknown person in Mumbai Police for demanding money from people by creating a fake Instagram account in her name. According to reports, an unknown person created an identical Instagram ID of Vidya Balan and also created a Gmail account. The person started contacting people associated with the Bollywood industry using the actress's accounts. It was also reported in the reports that he was demanding money from people by assuring them of jobs.

When Vidya Balan came to know about this matter, she complained about it to Mumbai Police. On the complaint of the actress, Khar Police Station of Mumbai Police has registered an FIR against an unknown person under Section 66 (C) of IT and started investigation.

Vidya has been worried about fake accounts before too.

Vidya Balan shared a post on Instagram for her followers and fans on January 19. Vidya Balan had requested her followers to 'report and block' fake Instagram accounts using her name. The actress had written – Hello friends, earlier it was only a phone number but now someone is using this name @vidya.balan.pvt. He is contacting people with my name.

The actress had informed her fans and followers on her Instagram handle about the fake Instagram handles using her name and reaching out to people. The actress further wrote – My team has reported it…but if you people help us in getting this account blocked by reporting it, it will be of great help.

He said that this person has talked to my friends and many acquaintances posing as me i.e. Vidya. He told all the fans not to entertain it at all. Let us tell you that Vidya is very active on social media. She often shares funny videos on her official account. Let us tell you that celebs' accounts are often tampered with on social media.
