Vivek and Vadivelu are among the highest-paid comedians in the Tamil film industry. Recently, a photo featuring Tamil cinema comedians is going viral on the internet. The popular duo Vadivelu and Vivek were spotted together at the wedding of their friend Muthukaalai. Several other Tamil comedians including Senthil, Goundamani and Kumarimuthu, among others also attended Muthukaalai’s wedding. The actors posed for a group photo.

Comedian Muthukaalai is renowned for his karate prowess as a black belt and made his cinema debut as a fighting coach. His on-screen debut was with a small role in the 1997 film Ponmanam. He then featured in other movies like En Vao Neethane and Nilave Mugam Kattu. He had a close bond with comedian Vadivelu and worked together on multiple film projects.
Meanwhile, Vadivelu is known for his roles as a comedian and playback singer in Tamil cinema since the 1990s. He is famous for his slapstick comedy style. Vadivelu has been honoured with the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Comedian five times for his performances in Kaalam Maari Pochu, Vetri Kodi Kattu, Thavasi and Kathavarayan.
Apart from his comedic roles, Vadivelu was also seen in leading roles in around six films. These movies are Imsai Arasan 23rd Pulikecei, Indiralohathil Na Azhagappan, Tenaliraman, Eli, Naai Sekar Returns and Maamannan.
While comedian Vivek was predominantly known for his work in Tamil cinema. He earned three Filmfare Best Comedian Awards for his roles in Run, Saamy and Perazhagan. In April 2009, Vivek was honoured with the Padma Shri award by the Government of India in recognition of his contributions to the arts. He made his debut in the film industry under the guidance of director K Balachander. His last film was Yaadhum Oore Yaavarum Kelir. He is all set to appear in Indian 2.
