Till now in Dainik Bhaskar Candidate Survey-2024, you have seen which faces were liked the most by the public as candidates from BJP and opposition alliance INDIA on 80 seats of Uttar Pradesh.

If we put the most liked faces as ticket contenders from both the parties face to face, then a possible picture is seen as to which faces can face each other on which seat in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Another interesting thing also comes to light.

In 2019, the public rejected 26 of the faces who contested on BJP ticket and supported some other face. BJP currently has 64 MPs in the state.

At the same time, people have rejected 31 old faces from the opposition alliance and have preferred new faces on these seats.

Awadh…support for someone else as candidate instead of old face from BJP on 5 seats

There are 17 Lok Sabha seats in Awadh region.

In 5 seats here, Dhaurahara, Rae Bareli, Kanpur, Barabanki and Ambedkar Nagar, people have rejected the old face as BJP candidate.

People have preferred someone else instead of the old face as the candidate of the opposition alliance on 7 seats.

Brij… support for BJP candidate on 2 Lok Sabha seats in 6 instead of old faces.

There are 6 Lok Sabha seats in Brij region.

Out of these, in 2 seats Mainpur and Etah, people have rejected old faces as BJP candidates.

Mathura seat is one such seat from where people have liked sitting MP Hema Malini as BJP candidate. At the same time, Charu Chaudhary has been liked as the candidate of RLD.

During Bhaskar's survey, SP and RLD were in alliance in Uttar Pradesh. But now RLD is with BJP. In such a situation, only some other face will be in front from the opposition on Mathura seat.

Bundelkhand…a sitting MP did not get support as a candidate again

There are 4 Lok Sabha seats in Bundelkhand.

Out of these, people in Banda seat have given more support to Anand Shukla as BJP candidate rather than the current BJP MP RK Singh Patel.

In the remaining 3 seats Jalaun, Jhansi and Hamirpur, people have supported the existing BJP MPs to become BJP candidates again.

This time, instead of the candidate who stood second on SP ticket in Jhansi and Banda seats in 2019, people have supported a new face as the candidate.

Rohilkhand… 3 out of 5 sitting MPs did not get support as candidates again

There are 5 Lok Sabha seats in Rohilkhand.

Here in 3 seats Rampur, Shahjahanpur and Badaun, people have rejected the old face as BJP candidate instead of the sitting BJP MP.

Dharmendra Kashyap, the current BJP MP from Amla, and Varun Gandhi, the current BJP MP from Pilibhit, have been supported by the people as BJP candidates again.

This time people have liked Sidra Adeeb Azam more as the SP candidate instead of Asim Raza who contested the by-election on SP ticket on Rampur seat.

Purvanchal…support for someone else instead of the old face as BJP candidate on 13 out of 30 seats

Purvanchal has the maximum number of 30 Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh.

Here in 13 out of 30 seats, people have rejected the old face as BJP candidate.

People have preferred RPN Singh as the BJP candidate rather than the current BJP MP from Kushinagar, Vijay Kumar Dubey. RPN Singh was not considered to be in the race for the ticket here, but 42% people have put forward RPN Singh's name by choosing the option of others in the survey.

Even from Unnao seat, people have preferred Ashok Pandey as the BJP candidate instead of sitting BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj. Ashok Pandey's name was also not being considered in the race for the ticket. But in the survey, instead of others, 26% people supported Ashok Pandey's claim.

There are 10 seats where the candidate of Congress or SP who stood second in the 2019 elections, this time people have rejected him and preferred someone else as the candidate.

44% people have preferred the name of Priyanka Gandhi as the Congress candidate from Varanasi seat.

Western UP…In only 2 seats out of 18, someone else was preferred for the BJP candidate instead of an old face.

There are 18 Lok Sabha seats in Western Uttar Pradesh.

In only 2 out of 18, Sambhal and Amroha, people have rejected any old faces as BJP candidates.

Shafiqur Rahman Burke is the current MP from SP on Sambhal seat. Whereas BSP's Danish Ali is the current MP from Amroha. People have again liked Shafiqur Rahman Burke as the SP candidate from Sambhal seat.

There is talk of Haji Fazlur Rehman, who became MP from Saharanpur seat on BSP ticket in 2019, joining SP this time. 39% people liked him as SP candidate.
