Rishipal Gautam, a strong leader of BSP in Muzaffarnagar and former MLC, passed away on Thursday. BSP leaders and acquaintances have expressed deep grief over his demise. 75-year-old Rishipal Gautam, a resident of Raidaspuri Mohalla of the city, was a teacher in Charthawal's Inter College. When BSP supremo former Chief Minister Mayawati initially visited Muzaffarnagar to strengthen the organization, Rishipal Gautam had joined her.

He is the coordinator of BSP as well as in-charge of Uttarakhand state.
