Radhi has also advised people to eat sweets before consuming food.

The nutritionist has claimed it in her book JoyFull: Cook Effortlessly, Eat Freely, Live Radiantly.

It has often been advised time and again to chew the food properly to help with digestion and absorption. What we have not been told often, however, is the fact that the food will have an even better impact on an individual’s health, if he or she listens to music before eating. This may sound amusing but it has been claimed by a self-taught cook and nutritionist named Radhi Devlukia-Shetty. She has claimed it in her book JoyFull: Cook Effortlessly, Eat Freely, Live Radiantly (A Cookbook). According to Radhi, listening to upbeat music will have a positive effect on the health of people. Radhi claims in her book that scientists have also confirmed this fact.

As per Radhi, good words and soothing music form a snowflake-like structure. This structure has a favourable outcome for the human body because the body of human beings comprises 70 per cent of water. This seems quite bizarre but it was proven when the scientists observed the upbeat music’s influence on water molecules. They found out that it gives a snowflake-like effect. On the other hand, the music with aggressive or sad undertones disjoins the water molecules. Not only eating, Radhi asks the readers to listen to and sing music with feel-good vibes while cooking as well.

Besides these tips, Radhi has some more advice for people that they can follow while consuming food. Radhi writes that initially, people should eat sweets because their bodies can digest foods with sweet taste first. This fact was also confirmed by another nutritionist named Supriyaa Nair in an interaction with the Times of India. Supriyaa said,” The sweet taste acts quickly on the taste buds and saliva. Eating the sweet item first enables the flow of digestive secretions.” She added,” If you eat sweets at the end of meals, you are slowing down your digestion”. Supriyaa said that some people are apprehensive about gobbling gulab jamun before eating roti-sabji. In that case, she said that the people can have a bite or two of the gulab jamun as it will help them digest the vitamins and minerals more easily.
