Slovan Bratislava was fined by UEFA and banned from selling tickets to its fans for its next away game in European competition.
BRATISLAVA, Slovakia: Slovan Bratislava was fined by UEFA and banned from selling tickets to its fans for its next away game in European competition.
Slovan fans demolished toilets and damaged other parts of Sturm Graz’s stadium, as well as set off fireworks in the first leg of the Europa Conference League playoff on Feb. 15.
UEFA fined the Slovakia club a total of 23,750 euros ($25,700), and told Slovan to contact Sturm within 30 days to pay for the damage.
Sturm won the game 4-1 and eventually advanced 5-1 on aggregate to the round of 16 of the third-tier competition.
