Late actor Satish Kaushik's film 'Kaagaj 2' has been released in theatres. Its director is VK Prakash. Actors like Anupam Kher, Satish Kaushik, Neena Gupta, Smriti Kalra and Darshan Kumar are in lead roles in the film. This film is on an issue due to which common people have to suffer a lot. Many things remain only on paper, on which no action is taken. Today we will review this film.

What is the story of the film?

The story of 'Kaagaz 2' is about a common man from Sitapur and his UPSC topper daughter. In this film, Satish Kaushik is playing the role of a common man, Rastogi (character name). The twist in the story of the film comes when his UPSC topper daughter slips and falls from the table. He gets injured in his head. His father takes him to the hospital. However, at the same time, a rally of politician KP Devranjan (Anang Desai) takes place in the city. Because of that rally, Satish Kaushik along with his daughter gets stuck at the main square of the city. His car can neither go forward nor backward.

As soon as the rally ends, Satish reaches the hospital with his daughter. However, the doctor declares him dead. Doctors say that if you had come a little earlier, we could have saved his life. After the death of his daughter, Rastogi's family falls apart. They are provided justice by lawyer Raj Narayan (Anupam Kher) and his son Uday Narayan (Darshan Kumar). Anupam Kher and Darshan Kumar are playing the roles of father and son in the film. Most of the film also revolves around the relationships of Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta and Darshan Kumar.

The slogan of the film is – Do not block the paths of others to make your path. This film is to teach a lesson to those who harass the common people by holding demonstrations and rallies every day. Those who are snatching away the rights of others in the name of their own rights. It is inspired by true events.

How is the acting of the star cast?

There is no doubt that when two veteran actors share the screen together, the magic is different. Both Satish Kaushik and Anupam Kher have been seen giving their best. Both delve into the depth of their characters to such an extent that you forget their star stature. You only see the character they are playing. Even Anang Desai fits the role of the politician perfectly.

Talking about Darshan Kumar, he is playing the role of Cadet Uday Raj Narayan in this film. The film starts with his army training. The first half of the film revolves around Darshan Kumar. His work is tremendous. He is the surprise element in this film.

Smriti Kalra is playing the role of Darshan Kumar's girlfriend. He has done a decent job according to his role. Neena Gupta is playing the role of Anupam Kher's ex-wife, Radhika in the film. However, his role was not very impactful. Veteran actor Kiran Kumar was also quite average as a judge.

How is the direction?

The film has been directed by VK Prakash. There are many flaws in the direction. The real issue of the film is not even remotely understood in the first part. Apart from being confused, one also feels quite bored. However, by raising the real issue in the second part, the director managed to create interest at some places.

How are the songs?

There are total 4 songs in the film. The music of the film is given by Toshi Sabri, Sharib Sabri. The list of singers includes Toshi Sabri, Vishal Mishra, Sharib Sabri and Sukhwinder Singh. By the way, none of the songs of the film are worth listening to separately.

positive point of the film

'Kaagaz 2' has been made on a very low budget. Presenting an important issue related to the common man on screen in a low budget is commendable.

Negative point of the film

Apart from Satish Kaushik and his daughter, the film also features the dysfunctional family of Anupam Kher-Neena Gupta-Darshan Kumar. Well, there was no need for that. The scenes filmed between Anupam and Darshan were quite long and boring.

Final Verdict – Watch or not?

If you are going to the theater with expectations of Pankaj Tripathi starrer film 'Kaagaj' then you will definitely be disappointed. This film does not match the standards of 'Kaagaz'. But yes, if you are planning a movie with the family this week, then you can definitely go for it once. An attempt has been made in the film to depict the struggle of the common man.
