Police arrested two people including the main accused in the case of raping a student in Budhana, Muzaffarnagar. When the police reached the forest of Parasauli village to recover weapons on the trail of the accused, a miscreant opened fire on the police from a pistol. In retaliation the police opened fire. In which a miscreant got injured by being shot in both the legs. The injured were taken to the district hospital. Late night the family members started a protest at Budhana Kotwali demanding action against them, saying it was a fake encounter.
