Delhi Capitals has achieved its fourth consecutive win in the second season of the Women's Premier League. The team defeated defending champion Mumbai Indians by a margin of 29 runs on Tuesday.
With this win, Delhi Capitals remains at the top of the points table. The team has 8 points in its account and Delhi has won 4 out of 5 matches, while losing one match.
Mumbai Indians won the toss and decided to bowl at the Arun Jaitley ground in Delhi. Delhi team, which came to bat first, scored 192 runs for 4 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, Mumbai team could score only 163 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs.
Maryam Cap gave 2 shocks to Mumbai. He spent 37 runs in his quota of 4 overs.
Mumbai had lost 5 wickets for 68 runs.
The Mumbai Indians team, which came to chase the target of 193 runs, lost 5 wickets for 68 runs. Apart from opener Haley Mathews (29 runs), no top order batsman could score big.

Lanning and Jemima's half centuries
Delhi Capitals captain Meg Lanning, who came to bat after losing the toss, scored 53 runs and Jemimah Rodriguez scored 69 not out. While opener Shefali Verma contributed 28 runs.
Shabnim Ismail, Saika Ishaq, Pooja Vastrakar and Hayley Mathews got one wicket each.
Captain Meg Lanning played an inning of 53 runs for Delhi. She made an opening partnership of 48 runs with Shefali Verma.
