Recently, a video surfaced on social media that garnered many emotional reactions from users while also making people think twice about wasting food. More often than not, we tend to throw away leftovers and never bother to think about those who struggle to get one proper meal in a day.
In the recent video, which was posted on X, a little boy wearing a school uniform is seen taking leftover rice from a big dish on a plate for himself. When some rice falls to the ground, the youngster quickly picks it up on his plate. Next, the boy adds salt, pours a jug of water, and hurriedly has his meal. The clip was posted with the caption, “Life is not the same for everyone… Respect food.” The video has about 1 million views so far and many reacted to it in the comments section as well.
One user said, “It disturbed me,” while another agreed with the view of the uploader saying, “True..It’s not easy for everyone..”
Some were quite emotional and wanted to reach out for help. One user said, “Tears in my eyes after seeing this video. How can I reach out this boy?,” while another said, “That really hurts to see a child eating rice with water and salt , hope one day i will be financially grown enough to help them”.
In our house, we have a rule that not even a grain should be left on the plate!!Respect for food is a must as we are privileged to have it on our plate, while most of the people aren’t!
