The sentence was given during a hearing in different courts of the capital Lucknow on Wednesday. A father who raped a minor daughter in Thakurganj has been sentenced to 20 years imprisonment. In the second case, Bawan Kumar, accused of raping a minor girl, has been sentenced to life imprisonment by the special POCSO court. In the third case, the sessions court has sentenced the accused mother Rani, who killed her newborn child by slitting her throat in anger, to life imprisonment.
