Vidarbha in Ranji Trophy final: Beat MP by 29 runs on last day of semi-final; Yash Player of the Match

Yash Rathore was adjudged player of the match. He played a century inning of 141 runs.

Vidarbha has entered the finals of the current season of Ranji Trophy. The team defeated Madhya Pradesh by 29 runs in the semi-finals. On Wednesday, Madhya Pradesh needed 93 runs to win, while Vidarbha needed 4 wickets.

In the first session of the day at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Ground in Nagpur, the bowlers of Vidarbha dismissed the last four batsmen of Madhya Pradesh and took their team into the title match. Where Vidarbha will face Mumbai. This match will be played from 10 to 14 March.

On the last day of the match, MP, which was chasing the target of 321 runs, started playing with the score of 228/6. Saransh Jain started playing with 16 runs and was out after scoring 25 runs. Whereas Kumar Karthikeya could not add to his score of zero. Anubhav Aggarwal also could not open an account. Avesh Khan returned unbeaten after scoring 8 runs. Kulwant Khajroliya contributed 11 runs.

For Vidarbha, Yash Thakur and Aditya Thackeray shared 2-2 wickets on the last day. Yash Thakur and Akshay Wakhare took 3-3 wickets from the team. Aditya Sarwate and Aditya Thackeray got 2-2 wickets.

Madhya Pradesh had got the target of 321 runs
In the match, Vidarbha had given a target of 321 runs to Madhya Pradesh. The team had scored 402 runs in the second innings. Yash Rathod played an inning of 141 runs for Vidarbha. Earlier, Vidarbha was all out for 170 and Madhya Pradesh for 252 runs in the first innings.

Yash Rathod scored the highest score of 141 runs in the second innings for Vidarbha. Apart from them, captain Akshay Wadkar was out after scoring 77 runs, Aman Mokhade 59 and Dhruv Shorey were out after scoring 40 runs. Anubhav Agarwal took the maximum of five wickets in the second innings for Madhya Pradesh. Kumar Karthikeya and Kulwant Khajroliya took two hits each. Avesh Khan got a success.

Vidarbha all out for 170 runs in first innings
In the first semi-final match, Vidarbha won the toss and decided to bat first. This decision of the team proved to be wrong, this team could score only 170 runs in the first innings. Karun Nair played the highest innings of 63 runs for Vidarbha. Apart from them, Atharva Tayde scored 39 runs and Yash Rathore scored 13 runs.

Fast bowler Avesh Khan from Madhya Pradesh was the top wicket taker. He took 4 wickets. Kulwant Khajroliya and Venkatesh Iyer took 2-2 wickets. While Anubhav Agarwal and Kumar Karthikeya got 1 success each.

On the second day of the match, Himanshu Mantri of Madhya Pradesh scored a century in the first innings against Vidarbha. Madhya Pradesh team was all out for 252 runs in the first innings.
