On the first day of Dharamshala Test, Team India scored 135 runs for one wicket. At the end of the day's play, the Indian team remained behind by 83 runs. Rohit Sharma returned not out after scoring 52 runs and Shubman Gill 26 runs. Yashasvi Jaiswal was out after scoring 57 runs on 58 balls. Shoaib Bashir took the only wicket for England.
England captain Ben Stokes won the toss and chose to bat first at the HPCA Stadium. Jack Crawley was out after scoring 79 runs. The rest of the batsmen could not do anything special, so the team was all out after scoring 218 runs.
Kuldeep Yadav took 5 wickets and Ravichandran Ashwin took 4 wickets in the first innings for India. Ravindra Jadeja also got a success.
Fifty of Rohit and Yashasvi
Team India captain Rohit Sharma scored his 18th fifty. He completed his half century on 77 balls by taking a single against Shoaib Bashir. Rohit has also scored 11 centuries in his Test career. Team India's opener Yashasvi Jaiswal was out after scoring 57 runs. He scored a half-century on 56 balls. This is the fourth Test half century of Yashasvi's career.
