BCCI increased the match fees of Test players: A player who plays 75% of the matches in a season will get Rs 45 lakh per match.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced to increase the match fees of its Test playing players. Players who play 75% of the matches of the season will get Rs 45 lakh for playing one Test. Whereas players who play 50% to 74% will get Rs 30 lakh. BCCI made this announcement on Saturday after Team India won the Dharamsala Test. This match fee will be available in addition to the central contract.
Recently there was a report in which BCCI had talked about increasing the fees as well as increasing the incentive amount to attract players towards Test cricket.
India won the Dharamsala Test by an innings and 64 runs.
India defeated England by an innings and 64 runs in the Dharamsala Test. With this, the five-match Test series was won 4-1. England won the toss and chose to bat at the HPCA Stadium on Thursday. In the first innings, England were all out for 218 runs and Team India for 477 runs.
India got a lead of 259 runs in the second innings, England team was limited to 195 runs only. In this way the English team had to face defeat by an innings and 64 runs. Ravichandran Ashwin, playing his 100th Test, took 9 wickets in the match.
Many players started playing T-20
Recently, BCCI had given a warning regarding the players included in the central contract. The board had said that players who are fit and are not part of the national team will have to play domestic cricket. Despite this, players like Ishan Kishan, Krunal Pandya and Deepak Chahar did not play Ranji Trophy matches for their state.
Ishan, Krunal and Chahar started preparing for IPL in February itself. Ishan plays for Mumbai Indians, Pandya plays for Lucknow Supergiants and Chahar plays for Chennai Superkings.
