On Tuesday, the first fast of the month of Ramadan, a crowd of worshipers gathered in all the small and big mosques of the city. The glow of Ramzan-ul-Mubarak was visible in the old city since morning. The process of reciting the Holy Quran and offering Namaz started in every house, in all places of worship including mosques and dargahs. The markets of the city were seen bustling with Ramzan. In the Muslim areas of the old city, there was talk of Sehri, Roza, Iftar and worship. On the first day, special arrangements were made for Roza Iftar in the mosques. The first fast of Ramadan will last for 13 hours 25 minutes. The Sehri of the first fast ended at 4:49 pm while Iftar will end with Maghrib Azaan at 6:14 pm. In the month of Ramadan, the time of Sehri will be reduced by one minute every day, while the time of Iftar will increase by one minute every second day. The last fast will be for 14 hours and ten minutes.
