The Pakistani actress looked quite disheartened by the dismissal of Malik, who was castled by Naveen-ul-Haq’s incredible delivery in the PSL.

Shoaib Malik’s wife Sana Javed was left stunned after the Pakistan all-rounder was castled by Naveen-ul-Haq in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) match between Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings on March 11.

Malik, who represents the Karachi-based franchise in the T20 tournament, was dismissed in the 18th over of the second innings. His wicket certainly left the team in a difficult situation as they had been struggling to chase an achievable target of 148 runs.

Malik returned to the pavilion after contributing 22 runs in the scoresheet. The former Pakistan captain managed to clear the boundary just once during his 25-ball innings.

A clip of Malik’s dismissal was shared on the official X account of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). “Off stump goes cartwheeling! Naveen gets rid of Malik,” read the caption of the post.

When Naveen-ul-Haq came in to bowl, Karachi Kings needed 35 runs off the last 12 balls to win the clash. Malik smashed the Afghan pacer for a boundary in the first delivery.

Naveen-ul-Haq bounced back well in the next ball. He bowled a length delivery, targeting Malik’s off-stump. The all-rounder misjudged the line and failed to connect the ball. The fiery inswinger went straight into the stumps and dislodged the bails.

Naveen immediately burst into a roaring celebration while Malik walked off the pitch. That’s when the broadcaster’s camera panned towards the VIP stands where Sana Javed was seated. The Pakistani actress looked quite disheartened by the dismissal of Malik.

Malik broke the news of his marriage with Sana earlier in January. One day later, Sania Mirza’s family brought out a formal statement, confirming that the Indian tennis icon and Malik had been divorced a few months ago. Sania tied the knot with the Pakistani cricketer in April 2010.

As far as the PSL match is concerned, Peshawar Zalmi secured a narrow two-run victory in the gripping encounter. Captain Babar Azam struck a half-century, helping his side post 147 runs on the board. For Karachi Kings, opener Tim Seifert and all-rounder Irfan Khan made some efforts, scoring 41 and 39 runs respectively. The other batters, however, looked quite pale during the chase.
