He underwent surgery again on August 8. There was a crowd of his fans outside the hospital round the clock. In the entire country, puja was being conducted at some places and yagya at other places. Jaya Bachchan herself had gone to Siddhi Vinayak to seek the well-being of Amitabh, but when she reached there, she saw that many people were already worshiping there for Big B. People's prayers bore fruit.

75 percent liver has stopped working
In 2000, Amitabh Bachchan suffered severe stomach pain. When Big B reached the hospital for treatment, he came to know that he had a problem with his intestine, for which he underwent diverticulitis of small intestine surgery. It was during the treatment that Big B came to know that he had liver cirrhosis. This was caused by hepatitis B. In 2012, 75 percent of Amitabh Bachchan's infected liver was surgically removed.
