Kolkata Knight Riders captain Shreyas Iyer is fit and will be seen captaining from the first match. He will join the KKR camp. Actually, Shreyas Iyer, while playing for Mumbai in the Ranji final, did not field in the second innings of Vidarbha on the fourth and fifth days, after which it was feared that he might be out of the initial matches of IPL.
KKR source told Dainik Bhaskar that Shreyas Iyer is completely fit. He did not field on the last day of the Ranji final as a precautionary measure. He will join the team soon.
Played an inning of 95 runs in the final
Shreyas Iyer played an inning of 95 runs on 111 balls in the second innings against Vidarbha in the Ranji final. However, only 7 runs could be scored in the first innings.
Was out of IPL last season
Shreyas Iyer was out of the entire IPL season last year. In fact, at the beginning of last year, he got injured in the last match of the Test series against Australia. For this reason, KKR made Nitish Rana the captain. At the same time, he was also not available for the final of the World Test Championship to be held in England on June 7 last year.
