The health of the cats were tested at the exhibition and doctors gave tips to the owner about caring of pets

In a first cat show organised in Berhampur, more than 50 various cats of 25 species were witnessed participating in it. The main attraction of the show was a two-year-old Zimba cat, which was worth Rs 1.5 lakh.

More than 50 cats from various regions including Cuttack, Bhubaneswar and Vishakhapatnam participated in the cat show. Swarupa Senapati of Berhampur came with two cats which she bought from Bhopal and Madhusmita Patra of Berhampur came to the show with a Persian breed of cat.

Talking to the media, Senapati said, “I bought two cats from Bhopal costing around Rs 60,000. They are like our family members, we take care of the cat.”

“We are very happy that such an exhibition is organized for the first time in Berhamapur city. This is an opportunity to show the pet cats” said Madhusmita Patra.

The health of the cats were tested at the exhibition and doctors gave tips to the owner about caring of pets. Cats were even awarded at the show, on the basis of their beauty.

Animal lovers, infact praised the cat show organized by the Ganjam Canon Association.
