Virat Kohli made a video call and congratulated RCB captain Smriti Mandhana on winning the WPL.
The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) franchise created history on Sunday by winning its first league title. RCB, which started playing league cricket in 2008, got success after 16 years with the women's team. The team won the title by defeating Delhi Capitals (DC) in the final of the Women's Premier League (WPL).
Former men's team captain Virat Kohli congratulated women's team captain Smriti Mandhana on RCB's victory. He made a video call after the final was over and congratulated the entire team including Mandhana. Mandhana also said after the match, 'This time the damn Cup is not Namde, this damn Cup is Namdu.'
Mandhana said- Nice to see Kohli happy
In the press conference after the match was over, Mandhana said, 'I could not hear Virat's words properly during the video call. There was a lot of noise in the stadium but there was happiness on his face. I felt good seeing this. After the last season went badly, he talked to the entire team and gave us confidence. I will definitely talk to him when I reach Bengaluru.

Smriti Mandhana became the first captain to lead RCB to the franchise title.
Not 'Ee Saala Kap Namde', 'Ee Saala Kap Namdu'
Smriti Mandhana thanked her fans while receiving the WPL Champion trophy. He said, “I have never seen as many loyal fans as RCB. Every year everyone used to say, 'Ee Saala Cup Namde, Ee Saala Cup Namde,' so this time 'Ee Saala Cup Namde.' We finally won the cup.”
'Ee Saala Cup Namde' is a sentence in Kannada language, which means 'this year the cup is ours'. Whereas 'Ee Saala Cup Namdu' means 'This year the cup is ours'. As soon as RCB won the cup, the victory celebration started in Bengaluru city. Fans raised slogans of 'RCB-RCB' throughout the night. Whose videos surfaced on social media.

Kohli had reached India only on Sunday
Team India's star cricketer Virat Kohli reached India on Sunday itself. He had gone to London with wife Anushka and daughter Vamika for the birth of their second child Akay. Akay was born on 15 February. For this, Virat also took a break from international cricket and did not play the home Test series against England.
Virat is expected to join the training camp of RCB soon. Kohli has been a part of RCB since 2008. As a player, he played the IPL final for RCB in 2009 and 2011 but the team did not win. In 2016, under his captaincy, he took the team to the finals but the team lost against Hyderabad by 8 runs.

Virat Kohli has the most runs in IPL history. He has scored 7263 runs in 16 seasons.
RCB has been runner-up 4 times in franchise history.
RCB has played 3 different tournaments in the franchise history, IPL, CLT20 and WPL. The men's team played 3 IPL and one CLT20 final but could not become champion even once. The team played the final in the Champions League in 2011 but then they had to face defeat by Mumbai Indians.
Now the team has achieved success in the Women's Premier League in its second season. In the first season, the team could not even qualify for the playoffs by finishing fourth.
