District Election Officer Manish Kumar Verma held a meeting with the banker today. During this, the banker was instructed to prepare a complete report of the transactions of more than Rs 10 lakh taking place in the banks and send it to the District Election Office. After this, the District Election Officer will further send information in this regard to the Income Tax Department. He asked the bankers to keep special vigil on transactions of more than Rs 10 lakh. So that the use of money to woo voters during Lok Sabha elections can be curbed. The District Election Officer said that the banks will ensure that the vehicles carrying cash from external source agencies and companies will not under any circumstances keep any other party's cash in the vehicle other than the bank's cash. The external source agency and company should have letters and documents etc. issued by the banks, in which the details of the cash given to them by the banks and for what purpose the amount has been made available (like filling in ATM machines/keeping in other branches or banks etc.) ) should have complete information.
