Mumbai Indians (MI) batsman Suryakumar Yadav will not play the first match of IPL 2024. According to the report of Cricbuzz, the National Cricket Academy (NCA) has not approved Suryakumar Yadav. In such a situation, he will still not be able to join the Mumbai Indians team for IPL 2024.
Suryakumar Yadav is undergoing rehab at NCA after ankle surgery. He is still not fit for IPL. Now he will have another fitness test on March 21. If he passes this test then he can get approval to play in IPL.
Dozens of players are out
Dozens of players from all over the world have been out of the Indian League so far. Recently, players like Delhi fast bowlers Lungi Ngidi and Harry Brook, Kolkata's Jason Roy, Gujarat Titans bowlers Mohammed Shami and Mark Wood are included.
The team will play its first match against Gujarat on March 24.
The upcoming season of IPL is starting from 22nd March. The opening match will be played between defending champions Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Chepauk Stadium. Mumbai's first match will be against Gujarat Titans on March 24 in Mohali.
