Saif Ali Khan was seen opposite Preity Zinta in the 2000 film Kya Kehna. Saif was cast a day before the shooting of this film began. Not only this, like the makers, they were not even provided clothes during the shooting. He was told to bring clothes from home.
Hero refused to do the film at the last moment, then Saif was selected
In a recent interview, the film's producer S Kumar Taurani told that due to luck this film fell into Saif's lap. He told that earlier another actor was cast for this but he left the film just before the shooting started.
Here all the preparations related to the film were done. But it was impossible to shoot without the hero. In such a situation, the makers met Saif Ali Khan.
Saif completed shooting in his old clothes
Kumar Taurani further said- We went to Saif's house in the evening. He was told the story of the film which he liked very much and he agreed to work in it. We told them that we will start shooting from tomorrow. He agreed to this also. We had already done the film Kachche Dhaage with him and he was very happy.
Since Saif was cast at the last minute, his costume could not be prepared as per the shoot. That's why we asked them to show us the clothes they had. Then we chose their clothes and asked them to come to the set with these clothes. Then this is how the shooting of the film started.
Saif starrer film was also a hit at the box office
Saif played a negative role in the film Kya Kehna. Critics praised Saif a lot for playing a gray shade character in the initial phase of his career. At the same time, Preity Zinta and Chandrachud Singh were also a part of it.
This Saif starrer film was directed by Kundan Shah. This 2000 film was a huge hit. Although initially the film did not get much response from the audience. But later the film earned huge money.
