The results of Bihar Board 12th exam will be declared on 23 March. Bihar School Examination Committee Chairman Anand Kishore will declare the result at 1:30 pm.

13 lakh students of class 12th had given the board exam
This year around 13 lakh students have given the 12th board exam. Last year, Bihar Board of Secondary Education (BSEB) had declared the result of 12th board exam on March 21. In 2023, the pass percentage of Science stream was 83.93%, the pass percentage of Commerce stream was 93.95% and the pass percentage of Arts stream was 82.74%.

The number of students shifting from CBSE to Bihar Board has increased every year since 2018.
Last year, BSEB had told that since 2018, the number of students studying in Bihar Board is increasing every year. According to Bihar Board, the maximum number of students who change boards every year and come to Bihar Board are from CBSE Board. Every year since 2018, about 20,000 students of CBSE Board have turned to Bihar Board for studies.

Bihar Board made changes in syllabus and exam pattern
According to Bihar Board, the board has made many changes in its syllabus and pattern. Actually, the syllabus and pattern of Bihar Board is very similar to the syllabus of competitive exams. For this reason students are taking admission in Bihar Board. At the same time, there is a facility to take online admission in Bihar Board schools. Due to this also enrollments are increasing.

In 2018, around 50,000 students of CBSE board took admission in BSEB.
In 2018, 47,421 CBSE students took admission in Bihar Board. At the same time, in 2019 this number had reached 69,460. In 2020, 87,086 students took admission in Bihar Board. This number had reached 1,00,438 amid the Covid pandemic. However, after the end of the Covid pandemic in 2022, the number of students taking admission in Bihar Board from CBSE had fallen to 95,204.

Students from CISCE and State Boards are also taking admission in Bihar Board.
Not only CBSE but students of CISCE and other state boards are also taking admission in Bihar Board. According to BSEB data, in 2018, 12123 students of CISCE Board have taken admission in Bihar Board in class 12th. This number reached 16,537 in 2019 and 20,267 in 2020. However, in 2021 this number remained 20,878 and in 2022 it came down to 18,006 students.
