Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) registered their second win in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 on Friday. The team defeated defending champion Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 6 wickets on its home ground. CSK's Moeen Ali dropped the catch of Travis Head in the very first over, who scored 31 runs.
Player of the match Abhishek Sharma, who was playing his first match this season, scored 27 runs in the first over of Mukesh Chaudhary. Hyderabad's Nitish Kumar Reddy led his team to victory by hitting a six.

1. Jadeja remained not out due to Cummins' sportsman spirit
Hyderabad captain Pat Cummins showed sportsman spirit during the 19th over of Chennai's batting. The fourth ball of the over, Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled a yorker, Ravindra Jadeja played a shot but the ball went into Bhuvi's hands. Jadeja ran to take the run, but Bhuvi threw towards the stumps. The ball hit Jadeja standing in front of the stumps.
Bhuvneshwar appealed for field obstruction. The field umpire also took the help of the third umpire to watch the replays. Meanwhile, Cummins told the umpire that he wanted to withdraw the appeal. On Cummins' request, the umpire did not look at the replays and Jadeja remained not out. If replays were seen, Jadeja could have been declared out due to field obstruction.
Ravindra Jadeja tried to avoid being run out by turning back, but the ball hit his back.
Pat Cummins appealed to the umpire not to watch the replay. Due to which Ravindra Jadeja remained not out.
2. Travis Head got life in the first over
Hyderabad's explosive opener Travis Head got a lease of life in the very first over. Deepak Chahar bowled an out swinger outside the off stump on the second ball of the over. Head played a cut shot but the ball went to Moeen Ali standing at first slip. Moeen tried to resist, but the ball hit him straight on his chest and the catch was missed.
He could not even open the head account at the time of Jeevandan, he took advantage of it and scored 31 runs. Head was out again in the 10th over, by which time the team's score had reached 106 runs.

3. Mukesh Chaudhary scored 27 runs in the very first over.
The first over of left arm pacer Mukesh Chaudhary, who came to play his first match in the 17th season for Chennai, proved costly. He started in the second over of the innings, but Abhishek Sharma hit a four on the very first ball. Abhishek then hit a six on the second and fifth balls. When the 5th ball was a no-ball, Abhishek also hit a six on the free hit. Abhishek hit a four on the last ball and scored a total of 27 runs from the over.
After giving away 27 runs in the very first over, Mukesh Chaudhary did not get to bowl again. After this over, Abhishek Sharma continued his explosive form and scored an inning of 37 runs on 12 balls. For which he received the Player of the Match award.

4. Shahbaz Ahmed out due to DRS
Sunrisers Hyderabad batsman Shahbaz Ahmed became LBW due to Chennai taking DRS. Moeen Ali bowled the fourth ball of the 16th over on good length. Ahmed played a reverse sweep, but the ball hit his pads. CSK appealed but the umpire ruled not out.
Chennai took the review. Replays showed that the ball hit the batsman's pads directly and if he had not had his feet, the ball would have hit the stumps. The field umpire reversed his decision and Shahbaz had to return to the pavilion at the score of 18 runs.
Shahbaz Ahmed was out LBW while trying to play a reverse sweep.
5. Nitish Reddy hits winning six
Nitish Kumar Reddy, playing his first match in the 17th season for Sunrisers Hyderabad, won the team by hitting a six. Nitish came to bat after the fall of Shahbaz's wicket. He hit a six in the front direction on the very first ball of Deepak Chahar, who came to bowl the 19th over. With this the team got an easy victory by 6 wickets. Nitish scored 14 runs on 8 balls.

6. Brahmanandam arrived to watch the match.
South Indian movies superstar Brahmanandam reached the stadium to watch the match between CSK and SRH. He supported Hyderabad and the team also won. Brahmanandam has worked in more than 1050 films in the industry. He is usually seen doing comedy roles.
