Flowers were showered on Anil Tiwari on becoming the President of High Court Bar Association.

The results of Allahabad High Court Bar Association elections came in the night. The results for the post of President and Secretary of the Bar Association were declared. Senior advocate Anil Tiwari has once again been elected president. Whereas Vikrant Pandey has won in the close contest for the post of Secretary. Anil Tiwari, elected to the post of President, has defeated Rakesh Pandey alias Babua by a huge margin of 603 votes. Anil Tiwari got 3048 votes while Rakesh Pandey, who stood second, had to be satisfied with 2445 votes. Veer Singh stood third by getting 1320 votes. Vikrant Pandey, elected to the post of Secretary, has got 1959 votes. Whereas Akhilesh Sharma, who stood second, could get only 1868 votes. Rai Saheb Yadav stood third by getting 1704 votes. Counting of votes for the remaining 26 posts including Vice President-Treasurer and Joint Secretary has not been done yet. Counting of votes for different posts will continue continuously. It may take another four to five days for the counting of votes to be over.
