On the first day of Navratri, there was a flood of faith in the goddess temples located in rural as well as urban areas of Ballia district. Devotees started heading towards the temples even before the first rays of dawn emerged and got engrossed in worship. Jai Mata Di, The atmosphere remained devotional with devotional chants like Jai Maa Durga etc. The Devi temples located in different areas including the major temples of the district have been decorated in an attractive manner.

At some places they are decorated with natural flowers and at other places with attractive fringes.
