Seven thousand UPSRTC buses will also be deployed for election duty in the Lok Sabha elections to be held in seven phases in UP. These buses will be sent for duty phase wise. The Transport Corporation has received a letter from the Inspector General of Police (Law and Order) to provide buses to transport the security forces to these polling stations.

Maximum number of buses have been demanded for the sixth phase.
