The trailer of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's much awaited series Heeramandi The Diamond Bazaar has been launched. The battle of love, power and freedom is seen in this series based on Pakistan's royal locality Hiramandi.

The series has been directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

Highlights the life of courtesans. It shows the lifestyle of courtesans and their struggle during the country's independence. This series will take you to the period when our country was fighting for independence.

The film will stream on Netflix on May 1.

It is shown in the trailer of the series that Mallikajan (Manisha Koirala) is alone in Heeramandi, who rules the house of high class courtesans. She runs her rule without any fear, but one day an atmosphere of tension begins to arise with the arrival of Faridan (Sonakshi Sinha), the daughter of her old enemy.

The city is also in turmoil, with revolutionaries demanding India's independence from British rule. Bibbojaan (Aditi Rao Hydari), one of Mallikajaan's daughters, is joining the freedom struggle. Meanwhile Mallikajaan's youngest daughter Alamzeb (Sharmin Sehgal), dreams of love with Tajdar (Taha Shah Badusha), the son of a nawab (nobleman), and wants to move out of Hiramandi.
