Schedule of T-20 World Cup warm-up matches released: India will play one match; Pakistan, England and New Zealand will not play

Team India will leave for America in two batches on 25th and 26th May.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the schedule of warm-up matches of the T20 World Cup. Team India will play only one warm-up match against Bangladesh in USA on June 1 before the T20 World Cup to be played in America and West Indies next month.

Pakistan, New Zealand and England will not play in the warm-up match
Out of 20 teams participating in the World Cup, only 17 teams will participate in the warm-up match. Whereas the teams of Pakistan, England and New Zealand will not play warm-up matches.

Warm-up matches will be played in three cities
The 16 warm-up matches will be played between May 27 and June 1 in Trinidad and Tobago, USA and West Indies.

Teams can field all players of the squad
Practice matches will be of 20 overs and will not get the status of International T-20. Due to which the teams will be able to field all the 15 players included in the squad.

Team India will leave in two batches
Team India will leave for the World Cup in two batches. There has also been a change in the departure of the team. The first batch of Team India was to leave for New York on May 21, soon after the end of the first IPL league stage. But, now it has been learned that the team will leave in two batches on 25th and 26th May. The players participating in the IPL final on May 26 will leave at a later date.

Team India will face Pakistan on June 9
Team India will play its first match against Ireland on June 5. The team’s second match will be against Pakistan on June 9, the third match will be against America on June 12 and the fourth match will be against Canada on June 15.
