A leopard attacked people working in the fields in Balrampur on Monday. Three people including an 8 year old child were injured in the attack. The matter pertains to village Jagdishpur Kathowa of Tulsipur tehsil of Balrampur. Rajendra, resident of Jagdishpur Kathowa, said that today some people are working in the fields.

In this, his 8 year old son Manoj Kanojia, 28 year old Manish Tripathi son of Chotkau, 30 year old Raju Bharti son of Haricharan were injured. Hearing the noise, the leopard went into the sugarcane field. The injured were admitted to Tulsipur for first aid.

The forest department team has installed a cage to catch the leopard.

Forest Divisional Officer M Semmaran said that keeping in mind the safety of the people, the Forest Department team has installed a cage to catch the leopard. A tracking camera has also been installed, through which the leopard is being monitored. Three forest department personnel were deployed there. The Forest Department has made people aware and said that people should not lie outside the house. Don’t go out alone. Work in groups in the field. Use light at night.
