In Meerut, holiday has been declared in schools to save children from heat and heat wave. The temperature in the district has reached 43 degrees. In view of this, the Basic Education Officer has announced holiday in schools from May 21.

From May 21, schools up to class 8th will remain closed in every board CBSE, ICSE, UP Board, IB. A temperature of 36 degrees has been recorded in Meerut since Monday morning, which is likely to go up to 40 degrees during the day.
The temperature will rise further this week
People are suffering due to heat wave and heat, there is silence on the streets since morning. Dr. UP Shahi, meteorologist of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Agricultural University, said that the temperature will increase further in the coming five days. There will be no respite from the heat right now. Due to the hot winds coming from Rajasthan, the mercury is continuously rising in the entire West UP.
People troubled by heatwave and heat
People are troubled since morning due to hot winds and heat. Doctors have also advised people to stay indoors. Go out in the sun only when absolutely necessary. Doctors are advising people to continuously drink water and consume beverages. Eat fresh food and stay indoors. For the last six days, the sun has been so hot that people are in bad condition.
