27 departments of Rampur together will plant more than 25 lakh saplings. Saplings will be planted on war footing to create Mitra Van, Bal Van, Yuva Van in the district. Along with this, the plants planted by barricading will also be kept safe.

25,23,000 saplings will be planted through 27 departments in the district. For this, the target given by the government will be met. To accomplish this, District Magistrate Joginder Singh has given department-wise instructions to the officials. The District Magistrate has said that the places marked for plantation should be barricaded with poles and wires so that the plants can be taken better care of after the plantation.
He said that every department should decide that the pit digging work should be completed by June 15 and also send department-wise weekly report of the pit digging. The highest targets have been set for the Rural Development Department and Panchayati Raj Department from the government level. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the officers related to these departments to make preparations on a large scale and ensure that 100 percent plantation is done against the target and adequate arrangements are also made for their care.
Saplings will be planted on Rakshabandhan
District Forest Officer Rajiv Kumar said that this time, instructions have been given from the government level for bulk plantation in the form of Child Forest and Youth Forest in the identified schools of the district. Along with this, on the occasion of Rakshabandhan, brothers and sisters will also plant saplings at the identified places. There is also a plan to plant trees in two wetlands of 8 hectares each in Milak. Under the Mitravan programme, a target of planting 32,000 saplings has been set in the areas bordering Uttarakhand in Swar and Bilaspur. For this, coordination is being done with the concerned District Forest Officer of Uttarakhand. 80,000 saplings will also be planted on the banks of Sainjani and Peelakhar rivers.
