Vikas Inter College team will represent
Principal of Vikas Inter College, Dr. Ashok Kumar Singh said on Tuesday that for the first time the girls team of Varanasi division will participate in the state level Subroto Cup football competition. Girls’ training camp has been organized at Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Sports Complex, Badalalpur from 21 to 26 May.

International footballer Shamsi Raza will give training
He told that international footballers Shamsi Raza, Irshad Ahmed and Awadhesh Kumar will train the 16-member girls team for four hours in the morning and evening. Shamsi Raza will give information about shooting, shuffling and passing, Irshad Ahmed will give information about fitness and Awadhesh Kumar will give information about stretching and diet. In the last two days, these girls will also play three matches against the Under-15 boys team.

Girls will get exposure
International footballer Vinod Kannaujiya from Varanasi said that ‘For the first time, school girls of Varanasi are getting an opportunity to play in such a big competition. This will greatly enhance their sports skills. Along with this, they will also get to know the sports level of girls from other divisions of the state.
