Sensation spread when an unidentified dead body was found near a pond in Adityanagar located in Chitaipur police station area of Varanasi. Local people informed the police about the discovery of the dead body. A crowd of local people gathered around the pond. The body is said to be about five to six days old, of a 30-year-old boy.

Chitaipur police, which reached the spot after getting the information, removed the body from the pond and sent it for postmortem. Police is trying to identify the body. According to local people, as soon as the information about the body being found in the pond was received on Wednesday afternoon, local people and police reached the spot.
Forensic team reached the spot.
RS tattoo on hand
Local Rakesh Patel told that the hands and legs of the unknown youth were tied. A cut mark was also found on the neck. The police first tried to get identification from the local people, but after that failed, they started investigating the missing persons registered from nearby police stations. The name RS is tattooed on the young man’s hand.

Police busy in identifying the dead body
Inspector in-charge Chitaipur Manoj Mishra said that prima facie the case seems to be of murder. The body is being sent for post-mortem, further action will be taken once the report comes. Efforts are being made for identification.
