SSP Alok Priyadarshi has suspended Inspector Zahid Hussain and constable Nitin, accused of beating up and putting the BJP Mandal General Secretary in jail in Badaun. SSP had handed over the investigation of this case to CO Ujhani Shakti Singh. This action was taken on the basis of the CO’s report.

Shyampal, a resident of Hajijangala village of Usihat police station area, went to Ajay Pal’s flour mill, a resident of Nagariya Dugani village, to get flour ground on Sunday. During weighing, Shyampal and Ajay Pal had a dispute over less flour. Shyampal informed BJP’s Mandal General Secretary Rahul Lodhi about this. Rahul Lodhi took Shyampal with him to Usihat police station on Sunday night. Where he told the entire incident to the police. Rahul Lodhi alleges that he met Inspector Zahid Hussain posted at the police station. Meanwhile, constable Nitin also reached there. He started proving both Rahul and Shyampal wrong by denying their statements.

The inspector and the constable started beating Rahul during the argument. After this, they were put in the lockup. On getting information about the case, many BJP people reached the police station and lodged a protest. Later, SHO Rajesh Singh resolved the matter and released Rahul. Rahul also gave a written complaint to the SHO against the inspector and the constable. When the matter reached the SSP, the SSP got the matter investigated by CO Ujhani. After finding both of them guilty in the CO’s investigation, they have been put on the line.
