The brother of Gagan Yadav, the candidate of Apna Dal Kamerawadi from Varanasi Lok Sabha constituency, died in a road accident on Wednesday evening. A young man riding a bike was hit by a speeding Bolero, as soon as the incident happened, the driver left the vehicle and ran away.

Police reached the spot after receiving information about the accident and took him in a bloody condition to BHU Trauma Center, where doctors declared him dead. After getting the information, the family members also reached the hospital and started crying while hugging the dead body. Police took the body into custody, filled Panchnama on the complaint of family members and sent it for postmortem.

Jagat Prakash Yadav (35), resident of Bhatti village of the police station area, was going by bike towards Gangapur for some work in the afternoon. Had reached in front of Dayapur village on Akelwa-Gangapur road when he collided with a Bolero coming from the opposite direction.

Jagat Prakash, who was riding a bike, fell on the road and became unconscious. The people nearby immediately informed the police and admitted him to the nearest hospital, from where he was referred to the Trauma Center at BHU. Jagat Prakash died during treatment at the trauma center. On the other hand, after the accident, the driver fled leaving the Bolero behind. The police have taken possession of the vehicle.

As soon as the news of the death of the younger brother of Apna Dal Kamerawadi’s Varanasi Lok Sabha candidate Gagan Prakash Yadav was received, many leaders and supporters reached the trauma center. The police took the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem. Immediately after the accident, Akelwa outpost incharge immediately admitted Jagat Prakash to the trauma center and informed the family members.
