Neeraj Chopra won the gold medal in javelin throw at the 2020 Olympics.

India’s star javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra has suffered a muscle problem two months before the Olympics. Neeraj Chopra has given this information on Instagram. He wrote – “After participating in the throwing session, I have decided not to participate in the Ostrava Golden Spike tournament.

Neeraj Chopra wrote, “I have had this problem before. If I push myself at this stage, it can turn into an injury. I am making it clear that I am not injured, but I do not want to take any risk before the Olympics.

I will return to the championship as soon as I am fully recovered. Thank you for your support.”

Now there will be guests in the tournament in which we were supposed to play
Neeraj was to participate in the Ostrava Golden Spike 2024 meet to be held in the Czech Republic from May 28, but now he will go here as a guest.

Neeraj has been injured when the Olympic Games are to begin in Paris after 2 months. If the injury is serious, India’s hopes of winning the gold medal may be dashed. Neeraj had won gold in the Tokyo Olympics.

What did sports medicine expert Jangid say in this matter?
Sports medicine expert Dr. Rajat Jangid, who accompanied the Indian team to the Tokyo Olympics, said, there are three types of injuries in the thigh muscles. The initial injury is a strain, if it is not taken seriously then it becomes level-2 i.e. a gap occurs between the muscles. In that situation, it is difficult for the player to play.

A strain injury requires 3-4 weeks of rest. After that, if the right exercises are done, the player recovers quickly. However, it is only after assessing the player after his recovery that we can know for how long he will be able to play. Sometimes muscle strain also occurs due to excessive workload. The third one is more serious than these two.
