In Ambedkar Nagar, a young man who had gone to attend a funeral ceremony at Langardir Ghat of Ghaghra river in Hanswar police station area, drowned in the river while bathing. There was a commotion due to the drowning of the young man in the river. The team of local divers who reached on the information is engaged in searching for the young man.

According to the information, 33-year-old Chunmun Gupta, son of Santram Gupta, a resident of Mundera village of Hanswar police station area, had gone to attend a funeral ceremony today at the Langardtir Ghaghra river ghat located in Hanswar police station area. While bathing, he went into a very deep water, due to which he drowned in the river. The news of the youth drowning in the river created a stir and the people present there informed the police about it.

The police reached the spot and is searching for the youth with the help of local divers. Hanswar SHO Sunil Kumar Pandey said that on receiving the information about the drowning of the youth, local divers have been called in to search for him. If the youth is not found by evening, the NDRF Ayodhya team will be called.
