Karan Johar announces ‘Dhadak-2’: ‘Animal’ fame Tripti Dimri will be seen opposite Siddhant Chaturvedi, the story will be based on casteism

Karan Johar announced his next film on Monday. This film is ‘Dhadak 2’ which will be a standalone sequel to Janhvi Kapoor’s film released in 2018.

The special thing is that through this film, ‘Animal’ fame actress Tripti Dimri will work with Karan Johar for the first time. ‘Gully Boy’ fame Siddhant Chaturvedi will be seen opposite Tripti in the film.

The film is being jointly produced by Dharma Productions, Zee Studios and Cloud 9 Pictures. It will be released on November 22 this year. The film will be directed by Shazia Iqbal.

On Monday, the makers released a 1 minute teaser of the film and announced it. In the teaser, it is written in blood on a wall – ‘Ek Tha Raja, Ek Thi Rani, Jaat Alag Thi.. Khatam Kahani’.

After this, Siddhant’s voice over is heard. He says- ‘The dream you are seeing, Vidhi, has no place for me in it.’ In response, Tripti says- ‘Then tell me Nilesh, what should I do with these feelings.’

‘Dhadak’ was a remake of the Marathi film ‘Sairat’
Sridevi’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor made her Bollywood debut with ‘Dhadak’ released in 2018. Ishaan Khattar was seen opposite her in this film. The film was directed by Shashank Khaitan and produced by Karan Johar.

It was a remake of the Marathi film ‘Sairat’ released in 2016. Made in 41 crores, this film earned 110 crores at the box office.
