Rafael Nadal, known as the King of Red Gravel, has been knocked out of the first round of the French Open. 14-time champion Nadal was defeated by fourth seed Alexander Zverev in straight sets 6-3, 7-6 and 6-3.

At the same time, India’s number-1 tennis player Sumit Nagal also had to face defeat in the first round. He was defeated by world number 18 player Karen Khachanov of Russia 6-2, 7-6, 6-0 in straight sets. Tsitsipas and Sinner won in other matches of men’s singles. Nadal-Zverev match lasted 3 hours
The first round match between 14-time champion Rafael Nadal and young star Alexander Zverev lasted for 3 hours and 5 minutes. It was a close contest. Zverev won the first set 6-3 and took the lead in the match. The second set of the match was more exciting. In this, both the stars were seen fighting for every point. Zverev doubled his lead by winning this set 7-6. The third set was a do or die for Nadal, but he could not save it and lost 3-6.

The two last met in the semi-finals of the French Open 2022, with Zverev withdrawing from that match due to an ankle injury.
